Here are several things you should consider when defining cost containment with home modifications:
1) Until it is a written definition, it is merely a concept, a good intention or a wish. 2) It isn’t fair to hold employees or vendors accountable unless they are aware of how you define cost containment. Make it clearly known to everyone involved.
3) When defining cost containment, make it so it can be tracked and measured. This way you can know it when you achieve it.
4) Cost containment is based on fairness to all parties involved, including the contractor.
5) It can be just as important to know what cost containment is not.
6) Cost containment with home modifications goes much farther than just price.
