1) Accept the reality of where you are today and don’t live in denial.
2) You are not alone. Everyone has disabilities throughout life.
3) Focus on the desired result and not the limitation.
4) An item becomes a barrier only when our mind and body can’t coexist.
5) A modification doesn’t necessarily remove the object, it might simply create a new avenue to achieve the same result. Alternatives to the obvious can often be the most efficient method to achieve the desired result.
6) Celebrate the victories of rediscovered freedoms both big and small and you’ll soon find an entirely new set of “can do’s” in your life.
